What stage are you at in your apprenticeship journey?
I am only a few months into my apprenticeship, but already feel that with the support of my tutor, Matt and the team around me that upon completion i will be well equipped for anything the world of management can throw me!
What made you decide to undertake an apprenticeship? How did you come to work in print?
Tell us about some of the key knowledge, skills, and behaviours you have developed since starting your apprenticeship.
Tell us about a typical day at work for you.
Day to day my responsibilities vary from estimating print and promotional items, for ad hoc orders, or stock replenishments, or fulfillment jobs to reporting on KPI’s, and managing the teams efficiencies and training. Every day really is different!
What’s the most enjoyable part of your apprenticeship?
What do you see yourself doing on achievement of your apprenticeship?
Would you recommend apprenticeships in the print industry to others, and what would you tell them about the industry?
Yes! I would tell them that it is an ever growing, creative, exciting industry! Nothing quiets beats the feeling of seeing something come to life and knowing you have been a part of it!
Everything within the printing process is fascinating, from the tech to the 1000’s of substrates! If you’re passionate, and innovative then print is for you.
What do you think are the benefits of undertaking an apprenticeship?
Being qualified within your industry can open the door to new opportunities and potentially lead to promotions
Learning at an older age has lots of health benefits and can even help your memory!
