Intergraf opens applications for the 2024 Young Talent Award
Intergraf kicks off the application process for the 2024 Young Talent Award. Since its inception in 2017, the Award has provided a platform for emerging print professionals to share their ideas with the industry. Each year, a panel of experts selects the most outstanding submission, and the winner receives a prize of EUR 3,000. The selected entry is then shared with representatives from printing associations, printing companies, and industry suppliers.
The focus of the 2024 Young Talent Award will be on artificial intelligence. This comes in the wake of AI dominating headlines in 2023 and exerting a significant impact on businesses and society at large. Scholars anticipate that the impact of AI automation could be as transformative as the last industrial revolution. While market forces are expected to drive financially viable AI automation, there is a growing emphasis on the need for careful consideration and responsible implementation to mitigate potential negative consequences on various fronts such as information dissemination, copyright, legal systems, and even democracy. Candidates are required to submit their perspectives on the following question:
“How might artificial intelligence affect the print industry, and what are the associated risks and opportunities?”
The application criteria are as follows:
- Young individuals (up to 25 years old incl.) working in/ studying print from Intergraf member countries.
- Submissions in English (2-5 pages), with optional visual support.
- Include a brief CV (max 2 pages).
- Availability to present your entry at the Print Matters for the Future conference in Bucharest on June 14, 2024 (not essential to win).
More information is available here.
Interested candidates should submit their applications in English to Sergejs Mikaeljans, Communications Officer at Intergraf, via email ([email protected]) or post (Avenue Louise 130A, 1050 Brussels, Belgium) before the submission deadline of February 29, 2024.
